Rajesh Boga

RAJESH BOGA was born on 1st December 1987, with mental retardation. His parents, Sri Parameswer and Bhadravathi have taken him  to many doctors at Karimnagar and Hyderabad. He was admitted into our school on 12th  September 1992.

Entry Level : He was having speech problems and poor in academic skills and personal skills. He was not able to understand instructions. He also had behavioral problems.

Current Level : He can understand and follow instructions. He can speak some two letter sentences. He has become independent in personal skills and move freely in his colony. He is now learning vocational skills in our Vocational Centre and doing productive work. He has improved his social skills also. He also participates actively in dance programmes and leisure activities.

 

B.Sumana

B.SUMANA is a 30 years old adult mentally challenged person. She is moderately retarded and has speech problems. She joined our school on 1st March 2000.

Entry Level : Her understanding level was very poor. She lacked attention and concentration. She was unable to identify things. She was also not lacking personal skills.

Current Level : Though she was admitted in our school very late, she has got good benefits. Her personal and social skills have improved. Her speech has improved, and she is now able to follow instructions. She is learning domestic skills. She can do craft work.

S.Abhilash

S.ABHILASH was born to Mr S.Venkateswer Rao and Jamuna Kumari on 19th April 1988. He is a Down syndrome person with moderate mental retardation.

Entry Level: Abhilash joined MANOVIKAS on 10th July 1993. He was suffering from lack of  attention, poor concentration and lack of eye-hand coordination. He also not having sitting tolerance. His understanding level was low. He also does not have toilet control.

Current Level: He has learned Personal skills. He can understand the instructions of a teacher and parents. He has also improved social skills. He can speak three-letter words now. He has participated in many dance programs on behalf of our school.

 

K.Sourabhi

 K.SOURABHI was born on 30th August 1997. Her mother, Mrs. Lavanya works as a clerk in the Passport office.  She is a Down’ syndrome girl (Chromosomal Abnormality with multiple disabilities). She joined our school on 12 June 2002.

Entry Level: Sourabhi Is weak in academics. She has poor eye-hand coordination, poor concentration, impaired hearing and also having speech problems. She did not have basic personal and grooming skills

Present Level:  Sourabhi’s development is quite appreciable. She has improved her speech and can speak some words. She can write alphabets and draw shapes. There is very good improvement in her eye-hand coordination She is now making  progress in social and academic skills.

 

J.Vivekanand

J.VIVEKANAND was born on 2nd July 1997. His father is Mr.J.KOMURAIAH, a barber by profession and is very poor. He was born with a cleft palate, for which he needs to be operated. He is a moderately mentally challenged boy. Vivekanand joined our school on 19 July 2005

Entry Level : He had poor eye-hand cooperation, lacked self help skills, could not identify things and was hyperactive. He had speech problems due to the cleft palate. He was very weak in academic skills. He also had behavioral problems.

Present Level: There is marked improvement in his personal and social skills. He can participate in games with other children. He can concentrate for a short while.

 

Baseera

Baseera is a 13 Years girl. She is an example of multiple disabilities as she suffers from mental retardation. she has having 50% IQ. she has been attending our school since April 2014

Her problems: Her parents are very poor as her father is a Cook in small Hotel. Baseera has improved through continuous training in our school. She is hyperactive and suffers from speech problems. She lacked grooming skills also.

Personal: she is now self-sufficient. she can do all her work. she is now able to remember his father’s mobile no. and address. She has learned grooming skills.

Social: she can follow simple instructions. Identifying and respecting her teachers and interacting with other children in play.

Academics: she can identify body parts, and alphabets A and B. Now she is playing and interactive with other children. she is now able to sort vegetable and food items with the assistance of her teacher 

Recreational: she is participating in indoor games like carroms, and outdoor games like Musical chair, Throwing ball.

 

Gaddam Sandeep

Sandeep  is 18 Years boy. he is suffering from mental retardation and a Learning disability he is having 55% IQ. he is attending our school from June 2015

His problems: His parents are very poor. His father is a barber by profession. His mother works as a helper (ayah) in a private school. They live in a slum area. He was admitted in our school in  pre vocational class with no academic skills, no grooming skills and no social skills. He was very fearsome. He is attending  the school regularly and responded well for our training and rehabilitation programmes. He has improved tremendously. He is now able to write a few words and can also write his name. His parents are very happy about his improvement. 

Personal: He has learned grooming skills.

Social: He recognizes and wishes his teachers and also wishes visitors warmly,

Academics: He his able to  recognize 1 to 5 Numbers now he also recognizes One Rupee and Two Rupee coins. He also identifies colors now.

Recreational: He is interested in playing games cricket, Ball through, and Running games.

 

B.Vijay

B. Vijay is 13 Years boy. He is an example of multiple disabilities as he suffers from cerebral palsy and orthopedical handicap. He is having 45% IQ. He has been attending our school since June, 2014

His problems: His parents are very poor as his father is a fisher man. Vijay has improved through continuous training in our school. As he is a cerebral palsy sufferer, he is unable to walk with out support and also has fine motor problems like writing and hand grip.

Personal : He is able to do all his works with the support of school ayha’s and teacher. He is now able to walk with the support of a stand. He is regularly attending physiotherapy classes.

Social: He can follow simple instructions. Identifies and respects his teachers and interacts with other children in play.

Academics: He is now able to hold chalk piece and slate and able to draw lines. He is playing and interactive with other children and wishes his teacher respectfully.

Recreational: He is participating in indoor games like carroms, and outdoor games like Throwing ball.

 

M.D.Thabrez

M.D Thabrez  is a 21 Years old  person. He  is suffering  from Down’s syndrome and Learning disability he is having 45% IQ mild. He has been attending our school since June, 2002

His problems: His father is a Driver, himself suffering from a paralytic stroke. His mother is a House wife. They live in Bagath nagar, Karimnagar.

When he was admitted into our school, he was placed in a pre-primary class. He does not have any personal skills, academic skills, grooming skills and  social skills.

He is attending the school regularly but his response is very poor. He is now able to write a few words and can also write his name. His parents are very happy about his improvement. They did not expect any improvement. 

Personal: He can follow simple activities like dress folding, and hair combing and can put his shirt buttons.

Social: He is now able to identify fruits, animals, and vegetables

Academics: He is now able to identify Rs.1 rupee coin, and he can follow simple activities.

Recreational: He is interested in playing games like cricket, Ball through and Running games.
