At PAMENCAP, we believe in empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to lead independent and fulfilling lives. The Manovikas Vocational Training Centre (VTC) plays a crucial role in this mission by equipping our students with practical vocational skills and preparing them for employment opportunities.
A Path to Self-Reliance
Established in 2001, the Manovikas VTC has grown to accommodate 20 students, providing them with hands-on training in various income-generating activities. Through our vocational programs, we aim to instill a sense of confidence, self-reliance, and pride in our students, enabling them to contribute to society and lead dignified lives.
Diverse Vocational Training Programs
At the Manovikas VTC, we offer a wide range of vocational training programs tailored to suit the interests and abilities of our students. Our current offerings include:

- Cot Tape Weaving: Students learn the intricate art of weaving cot tapes, producing beautiful and durable products.
- Door Mat Weaving: Utilizing two industrial looms, our students weave door mats in various sizes and designs.
- Greeting Card Making: Unleashing their creativity, students craft unique greeting cards for various occasions.
- Paper Cover Making: Students learn to create professional-looking paper covers for files and documents.
- Masala and Curry Powder Making: Students gain skills in processing and packaging spices and masala powders.
- Envelope Making: From cutting to folding, students master the art of creating high-quality envelopes.
- Office File Making: Students learn to assemble and bind office files, a valuable skill for employment.
Experienced Instructors and Modern Facilities
The Manovikas VTC is staffed by two dedicated vocational instructors, who work closely with our students to impart valuable skills. Additionally, three teaching staff members provide support and guidance throughout the training process.
Our vocational training centre is equipped with modern facilities and equipment, including:

- Weaving machines for cot tape and doormat weaving
- Xerox machines for printing and duplicating
- File-making machines for professional binding
- Mini flour mill for masala and spice processing
- Tools and materials for various crafts and products
Preparing for the Workforce
Beyond vocational training, we also focus on developing essential life skills and workplace readiness. Our students learn time management, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, preparing them for successful integration into the workforce.
